Seven floors on Calle Atocha
Teatro Kapital opened in 1994 inside a former theatre on Calle Atocha 125, a few minutes from Atocha station and the Paseo del Prado. Three decades later it remains the reference point of Madrid nightlife: seven floors stacked inside the original theatre shell, each with its own sound, its own crowd and its own reason to stay another hour.
The ground floor keeps the theatre's proportions — a full dance floor under the old stalls, commercial house and mainstream hits, and the density that made Kapital famous. Climb and the music changes on every landing: Latin and reggaeton, R&B and hip-hop, a karaoke room, cocktail bars with room to actually talk, and a rooftop terrace open to the Madrid sky.

Where is Teatro Kapital?
Calle de Atocha 125, 28012 Madrid — a short walk from Atocha station and the Paseo del Prado, in the Retiro district. Antón Martín and Atocha are the closest metro stops.
What is the dress code?
Smart. No sportswear, no shorts, no flip-flops, no football shirts. Closed shoes for men. Admission is always at the door's discretion, and a table booking does not override the dress code.
What is the minimum age?
Eighteen. Photo ID is required at the door — passport, national ID or residence card. A driving licence is not always accepted, so bring a passport or ID card if you can.
Which nights does Kapital open?
Kapital operates mainly on weekends, with additional dates around public holidays and special events. Opening nights and closing times vary through the year, so check the date when you book.
How many floors does Teatro Kapital have?
Seven, built inside the original theatre. Music, atmosphere and crowd change floor by floor — main dance floor at the bottom, cocktail bars and karaoke in between, rooftop terrace at the top.
Do I still need a ticket if I book a table?
No. A table booking includes admission for the people it covers. If your group grows, tell us in advance so the booking matches the headcount.
Can you arrange a table for a birthday or a large group?
Yes. Large groups, birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties and corporate nights are all arranged regularly. Tell us the size and we set the table up accordingly.
Is a booking refundable?
